Steve Jobs would be rolling over in his grave at the announcement of Apple’s newest technology, Apple Pencil. Steve Job’s always assured Apple and Apple products would never need a stylist or pen, everything would always be accessible at the swipe of a finger.
Now while using the new iPad Pro, a new form of precision is available for all users and the feel of this new pencil feels oddly familiar. Apple Pencil’s thin pointed tip helps users complete artwork, drafting a blue print and so much more. You hold it, but it doesn’t hold you back.
iPad Pro knows whether you’re using your finger or Apple Pencil. When iPad Pro senses Apple Pencil, the subsystem scans its signal at 240 times per second, giving it twice the data points it normally collects with your finger. Drawing lines is accessible with the applied pressure of your hand. Shading techniques can be completed by slightly tilting your hand.
All this could be yours for the small price of $99. This does not include iPad Pro. Taxes are not included.
